This is the schedule we planned together as a group, basically my role was to write up script, which include dialogue, do treatment, story board, and proposal. I also searched for location and decided what equipment we will need when filming. For dialogue I just made a simple conversation between two characters. For location I thought graveyard was perfect so according to scary scene I decided to look for costume for ghost character. For ghost character I felt costume was important, so for audience they feel they are looking at ghost. By looking at the location I did my story board. I made the story board because I wanted to make clear to my group that all the scenes in the story board has to be recorded one by one. And it also reminds clearly what scenes I’ll have to do next. I gave detail as much as I could in my storyboard, I did this paper work for both continuity and main task. I also made the questionnaire for audience because I wanted to make sure that under 18 people don’t watch this film as its horror.
When filming, my job was to do the clapper board, sound/ camera sheets and to get the characters ready with their costumes on. Because our film doesn’t have much dialogue it wasn’t hard for me to record sound for little time. While doing clapper board I had to make sure that I don’t forget to change the number of scene, shot and take according to scenes. For camera and sound sheets I managed to copy every scenes, shot and take’s number so that my group don’t get confuse while editing. So these are the things that I did in the production.

The above dates are the day we all worked together. In the production my role was to write narrative, to decide what shots is needed for filming, design the cover of DVD. I choose to write narrative because I was the only one who often watch horror movies so it wasn’t very hard for me to come up with new scary story. But I also researched on internet to get some information about horror movies. I made sure me and my group shows as much shots as we can. For the cover of DVD, I just put the character picture on the front and wrote the title. Because I did the narrative I also decided to make a front cover to according to my story. I did these things for both continuity and main task.                       
When filming I was the director so according to that I had to take care of all which include actors, sound recorders. I also did camera work because I decided what shots we’re doing while shooting so I had to make sure I get that shots in camera. For editing I used adobe premiere element 8.0, at the same time I also choose the suitable background sound for scenes. I added some sound effects to support the scenes and to draw the audience’s interest. So, these are the things I did in productions.

In our media product, we have chosen to put the picture of graveyard on the front of my DVD. The films title on the front is in red colour to draw the attention of audience. We pick out the image of our character ghost for the front cover because it gives the feeling of horror to the audience. Our front cover is all very dark and red which relates to the other horror movies front cover. We have put the written content to the minimum on the front cover because we wanted the audience to focus more on images of character. The title for our film is Friday the 13th, so for audience it is easy to know that it’s a horror movie.
A range of social groups are represented in our film are college students and 18 to 30 age. In my film there is a part where some girls prank the main character which leads to her death. So we believe this leads to the social group. For our film we would like to approach our film to all the institution which is BBC The UK Film Council Vertigo Films Film Four. Throughout the research we’ve found out that they are very selective when it comes to film as they are in finding of new talent. For us to win their hearts, our film should attract the audience. And we believe this is the only way we can make them give their interest in my film. As far as we know we have got interesting story which is based on Friday the 13th which should draw the audience as well as the institutions.

For our media product we’re expecting the audience to be 18 above. It is because it’s got the some frightening scenes which we thought it won’t be suitable for under 18. The sound track are very creepy which we put according the scenes. To attract the audience we have spice up our film by putting some suspense and revealing at the end. While making our film we’ve learnt the use of camera and the use of adobe premier elements 8.0. All we did in this programme is clicking and dragging into the right order. We also used blog site to put my very work we did. Using these technologies we’ve understood that, technologies have cut down the problems of producing a film.

When we look back at my preliminary task we feel we have learnt a lot since then. For preliminary task our team used just camera and tripod to film where as for main task we have used all equipment like camera, tripod, clapperboard, sound recorder and camera/ sound sheet to record. We have also learnt that we have to fill in camera/ sound sheet as we go through because if we forgot to fill one box of camera sheet then it can lead to huge confusion. And lastly, to gain interest from audience we have understood that the film should be attractive as well as the product.
